Course Objectives
This course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to ensure that BSL-3 and ABSL-3 laboratories are operating in full compliance with local and international regulations, such as WHO and CDC/NIH guidelines. Special emphasis is placed on biosafety management systems, the sustainability and maintainability of complex lab systems, and the critical role of subject matter experts in these environments.
BSL-4/ABSL-4 Optional Module
Participants can opt for an advanced module that focuses on the unique challenges of operating BSL-4/ABSL-4 laboratories, including higher containment requirements, more stringent regulations, and specialized equipment maintenance.
