Commissioning

Construction Evaluation

Your money is important. We’ll help you save it and avoid costly construction pitfalls.

Sometimes, site constraints mean you’ll have to diverge from your original design. Our inspection of laboratory construction aims to verify that the facility as a whole aligns with government regulations. This includes architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and equipment. But we don’t stop there! We also perform a barrier inspection to pinpoint potential maintenance constraints and opportunities for improvement.

We’ll send an industry expert to:

  • Evaluate HVAC components
  • Inspect finishes
  • Examine sealing techniques
  • Investigate mock-ups
  • Discuss construction techniques with the contractor
  • Develop HVAC failure scenarios for commissioning and/or certification
  • Provide work-around resolutions for construction issues identified
  • Advise on safety and facility policies and procedures

When we’re finished with our site inspection, we furnish a Report of Findings.

Construction Solutions That Work

No matter where you are in construction, we’ll make compliance-oriented recommendations. Drawing from our assessment of over 300 laboratories, we have insight into practical design and operations. The payoff is a recommendation that’s practical, cost-effective, sustainable, and safe. To top it all off, we include a documented risk assessment.

Accountability is Achieved

Cutting corners isn’t in our nature. We work hard to identify constructability issues to ensure compliance, leaving no stone unturned. We inform the team of HVAC and emergency power testing requirements that need to be completed prior to occupancy.
